looks great! we briefly looked at these as an option for the wife's car before pulling the trigger on a 2021 Navigator. Hope our experience is better than yours as we've got family with a Navigator that has been really happy with it.
I have a 2019 Nav L black label and I can say it is an incredibly smooth truck. After 5 Escalades this Nav is light years ahead of them in almost every area (I'm looking at you sync) especially ride refinement. I regularly go on long road trips and often hang around 90mph with the family sleeping comfortably. I joined this forum because the other Nav forums are super quiet and figured these trucks are similar enough. After reading past posts its seems OP had one of the worst lemons I've ever heard of.

My wife has a newer Jeep GC with the 5.7L. It's definitely a great vehicle and it has all the new gadgets, which is both good and bad. The Jeep's ZF 8sp auto transmission is outstanding and so is the fancy 4x4 drivetrain and height-adjustable air ride suspension. Gas mileage is also significantly better with the 5.7's MDS. The Jeep drives a lot more car-like, which is what the wife wanted.

However the Expedition has more payload and towing capability, which is what I wanted. I will also say that my 5.4L is noticeably smoother than the 5.7 although it doesn't have quite as much power. Also, the Expedition's size and body-on-frame construction makes towing and hauling a LOT nicer. I've done a lot of towing with the Jeep and greatly prefer the Expedition for anything more than a small utility trailer.

Basically, it's a tradeoff between a more car-like ride vs. towing/hauling ability. Both the wife and I are happy with our vehicle selections.

Well, you went from a truck-based SUV to a car-based SUV, so of course the ride is smoother. They are 2 entirely different animals. FWIW, if reliability concerns are what ultimately drove you away from Ford, I wouldn't hold onto that Jeep for long. You went from the frying pan into the fire.

It's all luck of the draw. Like he mentioned, his 18 expy has been a peach so his gcl may work out just fine. I love the interiors of them and they do look better the the gw/w.

So my wife was just DONE with the famous 2018 Navigator Black Label L 4x4 Cam phaser eater. Its been good since the engine replacement, but it just rides like a fricken dump truck. It bucks all over the road on sharp bumps on the interstate because the rear springs are just stupid-stiff. It axle hops both tires off the road on the sharp bumps and NONE of the struts are leaking or malfunctioning. The Black Labels are just this stiff.

She traded it for a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L with a Hemi in it. It has air shocks on it and it absolutely blows the Navigator away on ride comfort. Literally like 10X smoother and no more "bobble heading" from the ancient rear suspension design on these Fords.
The interior uses all quilted leather and it makes the interior on that Navigator look silly. I'm not saying either is any better, but I'm saying this is a pretty impressive offering from Jeep. I've NEVER owned a Jeep and never wanted a Jeep, but she had me test drive a pile of Mid sized SUV's before we bought anything because she Hated the rough ride and the bobble-head rear suspension so badly on that Navigator. I know this is a smaller vehicle, but we were just done dumping $100K into any vehicle, its just getting ridiculous.

These with Hemi's were literally impossible to find, so she found it in Oklahoma and had It shipped to us in Northern, WI. lol. The dealer we bought the Navigator from is buying it back for about what we paid for it a year or so ago, so we came out fine on that minus the fact that it was broke down 90% of the time.

Here's a couple pics from Yesterday when it arrived. BTW I have both front and rear sway bars for this thing new in the box ready to ship.... weather tech full mats in brown, auto start stop delete.....
Wow, thats sweet. We just dumped our 2019 expy on Carmax sunday so we are in the market for something else. After all the issues we had with the cam phasors, leaky struts, etc, probably wont be a ford. This looks like a great alternative. thx
