I stay away from discussions involving unions and especially GM workers. I piss off enough people with my other comments. I even worked at the S10 truck plant in Moraine Ohio for summer college help back then.
We had a 74 Vega I think probably in 81-83 and the frame or whatever it had, had already rusted out in the rear and the axle is ready to fall off.
We sold it to my uncle for cheap and he cobbled and welded it up so he could drive it back and forth to work. Then later he had a 76. Ours was a station wagon his 76 was the hatchback.
I had a buddy that I met from hanging out the car shows and racing up and down the roads that had a Monza with a 305 in it that was a screaming little car. That was around 1990. Then around 1996 a friend of mine baby sister had an old Monza with the 4-cylinder in it I think. I had to doctor it a couple of times on the carburetor and timing to keep it drivable for her.
