I put on my old wheels. No rubbing. No trimming.
What is the backspacing and width of those rims? I’ve got a stealth coming in and want to make sure the track width looks full enough. This look on yours has just the right fill and the tires are stock width.

Today I replaced the battery on my 2018 Expedition. Picked up a Ford OE AGM battery and noted on the old part that the vent plug needed to be installed on the positive side. The vent is then open on the ground side of the battery and if fluid should come out, it will go down the side of the battery, into the plastic battery tray and that has open holes to leak below it which can go a lot of places. There are AC lines and the frame rail under that tray so I added a small 5/32 vacuum line and nipple fitting to the battery so if it heavily vents any fluid, it goes way down through the hose and not anywhere it wants to go. It will now drip on the lower wheel well plastics under and lower anything that could corrode. This might be over kill but I’ve had a few friends that had major rust under their battery trays and even seen Chevy Malibu’s rot out the brake lines and ABS unit which are right under the battery tray.

Traded it for the AT4 XL 6.2 i ordered about 3 months ago. Loved the ford, but the new deal was too good to pass up.

Had Krown treatment done. Rust is what made me get rid of my 2010 Suburban and buy a newer vehicle. And since my expedition was built march 2020, I get a 5 year warranty.

Blacked out my Ford emblems. Temporary fix until I order actual black emblems. These are stickers found on eBay. The blue is before. I forgot to take a before of the front.
The black vinyl wrap will be done on that grey plastic across the front and black as soon as the materials arrive.

Installed H11 Philips HIR bulbs. Easy clipping of the top tab.

Turned the lights on after installing one, and the HIR was apparently brighter that the stock 9005 Sylvania.

Went to install new 3000k led fogs, and found that the 4190 listed is incorrect. I have H8s in there. Returned those and ordered proper sized replacements. I could not find H8 on the fog light lens, nor any size.

Finally, i towed my pop up camper with it for the first time, about an hour each way between home and the campground. OE trailer brake control installed worked fine. Had to up the gain to 6.5, which seems a little high for a 10' box pop up. But it towed just as well as with my 2010 Suburban with aftermarket tbc wired in. Hooking up was a bit easier using the rear camera (burban had none).

Mishimoto Intercooler going in this week to try to help with the temps as the truck is in the shop for the cam phasers. I have been noticing the temps really climbing on up-hill climbs under load with a full car. Recent trip to SC and daily driving, highest temp I have seen on the 5star gauges was like 247 degrees with ambient temps above 90 degrees!!! It's only for a brief time but still not good for the engine. Hopefully this helps to keep the temps low.

Just ordered extended studs and .5 inch spacers to replace my .25 wheel spacers all around. My setup does not rub to the best of my knowledge--but it is awful close. Punching the poke out another .25 will barely be noticable but the increased track may have a few stability benefits that I hope to never need to explore.

Additional wear & tear should remain reasonable considering my tire size and carcass are still a lot lighter than most.

Broke out the forscan to allow the fogs to come on with parking lights, but I didn’t find the right thing I guess.

Installed the HIR bulbs in the lows and yellow LEDs in the fogs. HIRs are brighter than the stock sylvanias, but nothing crazy. I’ll probably upgrade to HIDs.

When I bought the truck, the dealer said they did an oil change in preparation for selling the vehicle. Checking the FordPass app it showed the vehicle was almost due for an oil change. I asked my sales guy about this and he checked and came back saying "Oh, they forgot to do the reset in the vehicle." So, they are competent enough to do the change but not the simple reset? The filter looked shiny and new, but I couldn't tell about the oil as it had already browned.

I've never trusted a previous owner on a used vehicle purchase and always do a pretty prompt oil change anyway, and no way I'm taking their word and driving it till the next change, so I did my first oil change. If they did indeed do the change, they must have had a gorilla putting on the oil filter because I was hanging on my filter wrench to get it to budge. Got it done, doubt I'd take it back there for an oil change again, just keep doing it myself, it's not that hard if it's done right.

Swapped out stock SPP wheels with my set of FP 22s.

Still have to tint front windows and vinyl black out the chrome belt line along doors but been too busy messing around with my other ride and the wife's car has lacked attention.

I swear someone on this site recommended these floor mats, which is how I found out about them, but I've searched to no avail and can't find the post.

I did a LOT of research on the various floor mats out there and came to the conclusion that the 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Liners would work best for me. They look nice, fit well, and are easy to clean. They won't hold a gallon of water but this is Texas and we don't get much snow here. When we do we stay home, or at least the smart ones do, because we get more ice than snow. I do go over to our local MTB trail a lot as I am one of the trail volunteers and I'm always tracking mud, dirt and rocks from the gravel lot into my trucks so I need to be able to clean easily.

The big box they come in. The large ones are folded in there, but I imagine putting a book on them and letting them sit in the Texas heat will flatten them out quickly.

Liners that came with my Expedition, forgot to snap the other side for the photo after vacuuming.

PXL_20220831_210134042-XL.jpg

The drivers liner.

PXL_20220831_210901029-XL.jpg

Second row liner for the bucket seats.

PXL_20220831_213229962-XL.jpg

Third row that'll probably stay covered up most of the time as I keep the third row folded very often.

Super happy with the fit of these, third row could be a smidge better but the front row that counts is spot on. I'm pretty happy with this purchase.

When I installed my Weathertech flaps I drilled a hole towards the inside through the fender liner. Then installed stainless fender washers and fasteners to stop them from flopping around. Much more secure now.
Just reading this entire thread as my 2023 is on order… Have you noticed any corrosion on the aluminum panel with the stainless hardware? Those two materials cause some issues.

Corrosion Free rustproofed the truck. Still need to get around to front tint and the chrome belt line delete, maybe before it gets cold.
