This is a excellent comparison Picture. What I don't understand is why the Toyota is designed this way. Is there a technical reason? I know for a fact that they look closely at competitors vehicles to get design inspirations.
The battery. They could only put the battery underneath the third row with the 10 speed. This is also why they switched the live axle rear, space for the battery. They should've went the ram route and attached the battery to the transmission and used less speeds to make it fit.

They still have a solid rear axle under them, so its like 1950's technology. Nice job Toyota. Thats also why the rear floor is so hi.

It's weird, back in 2004, Chrysler was able to put a solid axle under the durango but keep the load floor relatively low and allow good legroom in the back while also keeping the ride smooth. No other brand has been able to do this since.
