22 Platinum Tow Options

I ordered the Platinum, but does it already come with a receiver and wiring? I don't tow anything heavy, but wondering if I should still order the Heavy Duty Tow Package?

Yes, it will have a receiver and the 7-pin connector from the factory. If not expecting to tow anything above 6K you should be fine without the HD tow option.

I agree with @apex96, with the only caveat that resale value may be better with the HD Tow because the ability to tow 9000 lbs is a pretty big differentiator.

I added the HD tow package to my platinum build mostly for the integrated brake controller. Didn't want to mess with the interior and install an ugly after market unit.

The factory unit is an easy installation and easily programmed via forscan. I added the factory brake controller to my non HD tow 2018 expedition.

If you plan to eventually swap to bigger tires, the lower gearing with the HD tow would be better.
