2022 Expedition - Schedule for production ?

This was posted on a Facebook Expedition forum. This is for all of KTP (Super Duty and Expedition) At least SUV Body and SUV Paint is working a regular schedule. I guess that's a good sign.

I wish Ford would offer Blue Cruise on more trims than just the Platinum on the Expedition. That is the only reason I ordered a Platinum. If Blue Cruise was offered on a Limited, I would get that instead.

That is certainly their goal. Up-sell you into the higher trims (more profit) by limiting available features. In another model year or two the tech will filter down into the lower trim levels as an option.

I ordered a Star white 2022 Platinum Max 1/22/22 and thought the chip situation was going to get better and as we all can see its just getting worse. I was hoping to wait out the storm but my dealership called and notified me that they weren't going to build it unless I deleted the contour seats and rear climate control. So I caved and apparently now mine is the last in the queue to be built YAY! I never received any email or VIN number from Ford this entire time. My wife and I are frustrated just as everyone else is because we are basically spending a lot of money for better leather and blue cruise essentially. We have a growing family of 3 right now and its absolute to have climate control in the rear along with a bench and RES (which I knew from the start we weren't gonna get). So now Im on the hunt for Limited Max because thats what the platinum is now.

My 2022 Expedition was finally built yesterday and should be at the dealer the first week of July. If that is true then my order will have taken 9 months from order date to delivery.

The good news is that it is finally off of chip hold. I will contact my dealer to see if it is on a train or a truck to get to me. I will only believe the Expedition is available when I take delivery.

They did a bulk job this past weekend, mine also off chip hold. No ETA for delivery. Been in purgatory since 3/17.
Perfect timing Just as gas is hitting $5+ gallon.

Placed order for '22 Platinum on 2/26, still waiting on confirmation of production being scheduled. Anyone have any better updates than dealer on status of Platinum production? Is that delayed vs. other models for some reason? Or had any luck with getting order priority moved up with Ford? Have reached out to Ford Marketing multiple times, but best they can give me is status of order, which is the only thing we are currently getting out of the dealer. That and a now very outdated 12-16 week projection for order date to delivery, given we are already past 14 weeks from order.

Finally ordered 12/6/21 been on chip hold since 3/14/22 say’s delivery date is between 6/25/22 til 7/1/22 first message since march

Checked with dealer today and was told I’ve been moved to priority code 2 with no production date. Ordered Platinum on 4/25.

I was told the same thing last week, I ordered my Limited Stealth Perfomance about 2 weeks before you. My Dealer also said it was unscheduled clean priority 2. What I’m told is it means they have secured all the parts and is waiting a scheduling date. I’m not holding my breath though, seems the normal rules are not applying these days.

Just received my built email on a 2022 Limited Max in Forged Green. 4x4, bench seat, HD Tow, cargo management system. It was in chip hold since 3/17. I ended up throwing in the towel a couple weeks ago and bought a different one when marketing gave me an ETA of July 25th. It will be delivered to Grand Ledge Ford in Michigan at the end of June according to the email. If someone is interested in that, I'd highly recommend calling Rob at the dealership. He is great to work with!

I just receive my built email. Order confirmed 1/17/22. In production 3/16/2022. Built 6/6/2022. Delivery to Saline, MI expected between 6/21/2022 and 6/27/2022
