How much more light did they add to your bumper bar? I got my bumper bar installed but waiting on the tapered washers to bring it level. Points down a little to much.

They compliment the headlights and fog lights very well. I have them angled outwards at about 30 degrees on each side. They light up the shoulder and side view very nicely and have a good 150’-200’ forward throw. Think it’s pretty good for the size. Also, when the high beams turn on, it combines into one large light output area. The light bar can clearly throw much further when angled up, but I keep mine angled down so it’s about 30’-35’ in front of the truck. Took some pics to show the lighting, pics are:

1) Pods Only
2) pods and Light-bar
3) Light-bar Only
4) No lights
5) Front view all on

Extra pics lol [emoji13]

Very nice. My bar is probably aimed similar to yours. It’s as high as it will go without the tapered washers. The longer bolts have a slightly larger head and won’t let the light go up anymore. I am going to try these stainless steel washers.

Resurrecting this thread. Were there any issues drilling through the front bumper cover to install the brackets for the light bar? Are there structural parts behind the bumper cover in that area that I should be concerned about drilling through?

No was quite easy actually. Recommend starting with a very narrow bit and making the pilot hole first before using the required larger bit.

Also, if ur doing a bar larger than 38” and putting on bumper, be sure to leave urself enough clearance underneath to fit metal washers for strength. Because any light bar that size will fit the air dam exactly, but the brackets will go beyond the opening and make installing washers and the bolt a PiTA.

Hope that helps.

Nice job, I love the look of it - does anyone have any ideas for the same thing but on a 3rd gen (2017) expy my dad says no but I'm obviously going to put one since its my vehicle I just cant make up my mind for if I want to do a license plate mount one (22" like I had on my jeep), one behind the grille, or a slim light bar off of the roof racks. Any comments would be appreciated thanks

On my 2007 I cut out some of lower bumper lines and welded up some brackets. With the grill off there is a lot of working room. I ran a relay to a 3 way switch drilled into the dash between the lower cig lighter and aux plug. The switch was round so it almost looks stock. Options were On, off, or connected to high beam. Most of the time I left it connected to the high beam so I could actually use it on the road and not fumble to turn it off. Even that smaller size and no name brand was amazing on and off road. I plan on doing the same thing on my 2020 but haven’t decided where to mount it as I don’t want to block hd tow radiator. But for the one time a year I tow maybe it doesn’t matter much.
