During the last CV breakage, I didn’t realize at the time, but I busted the axle tube housing on the front differential as well. Being discontinued I had to do some searching. Found a gent a few hours away from me with a complete parts truck. He has offered to let me have any parts I want if I’m willing to drive and pull them myself. Should be making a roadtrip and picking up some items in the next week or so. Gonna grab the front differential, cv shafts, shocks, and rear axle trailing arms.. He sounds as if he may want to let the whole vehicle go, and I just might have to do that, lol.. I love my Expeditions..

My other expedition!! They kept accusing me of racing in 4 wheel drive because it was too fast.. Lol, it’s been converted to 2 wheel drive.. IMG_7320.jpg

Got some all terrain 35”s for the winter wheels.. gonna run those until I can find a good deal on some M/T’s but it’s gonna be a few days. Fuel pump went out this week. Not only is it the original pump, it’s been pulled and used in the race truck multiple times and put back into my truck, so she did her job. RIP to the little one, new one is in the mail.. Pics as soon as she’s back on the road..

Had us a little boo boo on Christmas.. Looks like pull and save in the spring for a couple doors.. Small mishap trying to manuever between cars and a ditch caught me.. Ice sucked me right in..

Did do a little wheeling on Saturday, aired down to 20 psi and the all terrains did ok.. I am gonna air down to 12ish next time.. maybe get some GoPro action.. My new Christmas present!!

Been a minute.. small update. Front receiver installed. Little wiring to do and I have front and rear mount winch. License plate will be in the receiver when the winch isn’t in use.. IMG_8683.jpg
Progress is slow but moving onward.. Decided on October 1st-10th of ‘22 for our trip. That’s 2 days drive time and 8 days of camping, wheeling, and relaxing..

Some days she looks purdy.. Got some more recovery gear and the quick connects for the winch and jumper cables on the way.. I love new stuff, even when it’s minor. Found both my lower trailing arms are bent, so that will be coming next I’m sure.. IMG_8939.jpg

I got some new recovery - everything in your pic except for the snatch block. I'll be getting a winch in the future, but need other stuff like rock sliders, tires, gears, and a True Trac for the front (maybe the rear as well)

Did a lot of that first myself. Need some M/T’s again but I’m trying to get a year out of these all terrains..

Picked up some more goodies this week. Another batch of Cal-Van inserts, and the lifters and cam followers (rocker arms) for the drivers side, LED lightbar and a couple LED pods. Also got some winch play in moving some shit around the property. Nothing major, but I got to play with all of it except the tree saver.. Good times.

52” curved bar for the rooftop, and I’m not sure yet where I am gonna put the pods. Have to wait and see how bright they are before I decide.. Gonna do some Cal-Vans until my other goodies arrive..

Cal-Van Kit #38900 if your interested in the proper fix/prevention to blown plugs, and insert #389-100 for the 5.4 2v..

Pulled the valve cover today.. already spotted the collapsed lash adjuster without even having to turn the motor over.. be so glad to do away with that damn tick. Caught it early, didn’t even seem to be any damage to the cam followers but I got new anyway. Should be here tomorrow.. Got the 1gq wire and quick connectors for the winch so it can now be used front and back. Got an extra connector so I don’t have to lift the hood to use jumper cables.. [emoji1362] Light bar came in.. Haven’t installed most these items yet, just got all of it today. Gotta get the motor done first and then finish installing toys.. going to fab up a small receiver mount in the cargo area so that I can store the winch without it bouncing around.. So much to be done and so little time..

Pulled passenger valve cover today.. I cannot stress this enough: DONT DO IT EVER, UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DO IT!!!!!

For real, what a pain in the ass.. My son wants to hang out in the warm house and watch some cartoons, so I’m gonna get the new lash adjusters on that side installed tomorrow hopefully.. waaaaaaay in the back, I have no clue how guys get these off on a vehicle without a body lift. The extra 3” of headroom and it was still a pain. Putting the followers back on will be a cinch but taking the back ones off is gonna suck a sweaty beanbag for sure.. IMG_9307.jpg
