Reverse tilt side mirrors

There's an interesting thread on the Forscan forum, 4th Gen Expy FORScan Modifications, which among other things discusses enabling reverse tilt side mirrors on the 18/19 Expedition Platinum and apparently Limited as well. (Although the latter perhaps not automatically.)

I'm curious what folks' experience is trying to enable this on the various trims? (I'm particularly interested in success/failure on XLT 202A and Limited 300A.)
