I posted this in another thread, but I fixed the failed a/c by replacing the faulty blend door motor without having to pull the dash. Also stripped the original alloys and shot them with VHT rattle can base and clearcoat. Rushed that... Definitely a 10-foot job. Waiting on new Hankook all terrain tires to show up at Discount. Way overdue on the rubber replacement.

In time I'm sure. Got two Broncos that need the train horns as well. I tried to embed the video, but it seems things are a bit different here.

drove about 1000 miles this weekend. Got about 19.5 mpg out of her. almost at 284k miles and looks like I could get her to 400k no problem.

No issues to speak of and no leaks.

Me and a buddy changed spark plugs on Friday to fix a random misfire. He did his previously and knew which tools were needed. He did the passenger side in about 30mins while I closed up the shop. He left and I got to do the left side. He told me the rear one would be a pain, but it didn't take that long. The 3rd one back was a totally different story. The Ford designer that thought it would be a good idea to put a fuel pressure regulator or damper about the coil hold down screw should be kicked in the nuts. After that it wasn't too bad. Took me about an hour and a half on the left side.

Good to hear there weren't any thread issues. I had to do mine back in nov and only had issue with the third back on the pass side. something had built up on the bolt head of the plug preventing me from getting a socket on it. good news that I had to get the intake off for the gasket and coolant pipe. soaked it in wd-40 overnight and tapped a socket on it to break up the crud.

I had the same experience on the passenger bank when doing a complete change. It was #2 and I couldn't get the 5/8" socket on the plug although it fit all others. It was a plug I know I had replaced before so I didn't screw with it and let it be.

Until now I had myself convinced that I somehow replaced the difficult plug with the wrong size. (Funny that the 5/8'' socket I had used for the earlier single plug change was still taped to the extension)

Thanks for demystifying. Goes to show there ain't many unique Expedition problems.

Friday I had an alignment done to get the steering wheel in the same direction. found out I already had the camber bolts installed so I saved a little over $100 there.

today I upgraded my aftermarket radio with another jvc unit with more features. had the wheels rotated and balanced and had the ball joints/tie rods/pitman&idler arms greased. working on oil after this, also, she is currently at 285k miles. about 1k from having 10k miles added to her since november of '13

My nephew works detail cars at a local dealer and offered to buff and wax my Expy. This picture doesn't do it justice. Tomorrow, clean white letters on tires.

Replaced the brake hoses up front going to the caliper. My drivers side broke today (never want to feel your pedal go right to the floor...) but it wasn't too bad. 20 minutes each side and it was about 15 bucks for each part.
