$3500. + tax was $210. so $3710. total out the door. 153k miles soon to be 154k lol. I got OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) so I've been nitpicking this thing to death and have found a couple issues soon to be fixed or I'll go nuts.

In 2009 I bought a 2003 XLT with a 5.4L, 74K miles, 4X4 and it had the police package. Bought it for $9400 from a dealer. It had no third row seating, second row is vinyl seats, which I haven't changed out yet because of the kids spilling crap all over the seats and floor, all rubber flooring...which I actually like because of the kids again spilling stuff all over and it's easy cleaning, and steel rims. I since have added the third row seating, changed out plugs and coils, new rear end oil and additive because of the rear end wanting to be full time pos...works good now. Overall I like the expi. It does everything I ask of it...pulling wagons of hay and wood, mudding, driving though snow drifts that are over the hood, and pulling around a skid loader. The funny thing is it pulls things better than my 97 F150 5.4L with off road pkg and airbag susp.

03 XLT 4x4 with 57k miles...... was going to be paying $3000...... but after all of the help my Father needed the last few years before my Mom passed, my Dad told me the other night he wants me to just have the truck since I help him out so much.

So when its all said and done I paid $0 for my Expy.

97 XLT 4.6 4x4 white with gray leather, third row seats. 163K paid 800.00. Everything was in decent shape and working order. Except for the hole the size of my fist in the block. New motor 3200, new exhaust, cats, flowmaster muffler, new driver's leather seat, new box behind fuse box, new windshield to try to stop the water that was getting into the box behind the fuses, new chrome tube steps, and now both front and rear air blow hot. Pulls the pontoon boat and the camper well and holds the kids and dogs.

800 seemed like a good deal.

I just paid $3k for a '98 with right at 200k miles. Interior and exterior are not reflective of the age and mileage of this truck. It has been meticulously maintained and I think I got a great deal on it. My wife is happy and I guess, in the end, that's all that matters.

I just bought my 2000 XLT 4.6 on new years eve 2011. I paid $2500 but it has a lot of rust and needs new tires. It has 181K on the body and 110k on the motor but I love this vehicle. it's the first vehicle I can't wait to do upgrades to. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Just bought my 05 XLT 5.4 4x4 a week ago! 119,000 miles for 13,500. Previous owner was Southern Platte Fire Protection District. So its in great shape!

I think it was a good deal considering that for other 2nd gens with around 150,000 are going for 11-12,000
