Eventually you won't have a local dealer, so that'll be convenient!

Fine with me. There are 3 dealers within the free pick up/drop off service radius.

I say let capitalism decide. If a dealer goes out of business because they don’t sell enough ESP’s that’s on them.

Why do you need a dealer?

Works for me too. I'd rather order online direct from Ford and have it delivered to my front door for a lower price. Dealers are a racket and scammers. Unneeded middleman in the internet age.

No way I’m buying something like an insurance policy, for more money and time, just so that a less efficient middle man can make more money. Flood is smart. I like to reward entrepreneurship and capitalism.

I am however happy to support small business if they have something unique. As an example, I bought something off Etsy last night. They also sell on amazon but buying direct from them puts more $$$ in their pocket.

im in sales....this happens all the time....FORD knows the behavior theyre creating....some sales folks figure it out faster than others.

eventually customers learn too....dealer hold backs etc, its free enterprise.

my local dealer screws up more than they fix...and theyre constantly trying to gouge customers (filters that aren't necessary, injection cleaning that cant be done on the given model)....if they go **** up so be it!

My dealer called the Ford Rep and asked how Flood was selling this for less that the local dealers cost. The Ford Rep said they highly frown on what Flood is doing. Flood is selling them at a loss and then selling so many that in the end they get a volume discount and that discount reduces their cost enough to make money on it. They have a department that does nothing but these warrantys and works on commission just to move them. It works, but I don't buy from the discounters..... My dealer cut me slack and I'd rather they make some money off me and stay in business than have some salesman sell me one from out of state.... I'm happy to pay my dealer more to keep them in business. I'm not an Amazon guy.....

that sounds like bs to me. I was able to get the deal on the truck, trade, and the warranty without hassle. If flood is below cost, I can’t see other people jumping to match like that. Does make a nice cover story as to why they are overcharging folks locally that don’t shop around.

It’s a dangerous game flood is playing if true, they set up extra overhead to do these, along with at least one other dealer that was competing online. Name escapes me. So if they miss their target they get burned big time with the below cost sales and the special staffing Doesn’t sound right. That’s a far cry from a dealer eating a few cars at the end of a month to snag a bonus.

First thing is this dealer has never screwed me, so I'm going with my gut and trusting them. They're a tiny local dealer that is honest. Most dealers I absolutely will not trust.

No doubt most aren’t. All the locals tried to jack me out of 5-6k more than I paid. One trotted out an insane 6% financing package!!!

You literally said you have to get them to match mega dealer pricing. In other words they initially try to screw you and ONLY come down on price when you confront them with other lower pricing.

They are actively trying to screw you in every interaction you have with them.

That’s the height of dishonesty/screwing you.

I've NEVER went to my local dealer first. I always get my price and my vehicle need selected elsewhere and online and hand it to them. They've always found and agreed to the price and delivered my vehicle shortly after. Pretty simple.

You wouldn’t have to do that if they weren’t trying to screw you. They’d simply be honest and upfront and give you the best price out of the gate without you having to force them to ‘match’ a mega dealers price...

In the situation you just laid one only place treating you fairly is the mega dealer. They give you a great price from the get go....
