Anyone make more progress on this? I’d like to be able to make my fog leds be the drls. Seems to be an available edit on the 3rd gen.
I’ve really got to turn off the double honk too, what a horrible noise. Startles anyone around when I jump out for something and leave it running.

Take a look at this thread, it may help you.

Look at the spreadsheet that is listed in post #576

Also - if you put what vehicle you have/are driving in your signature, it will help others when you ask questions for assistance. Thanks.

Vehicle health reports are being discontinued by Ford starting 1 August 2018, so you are only missing traffic info...which you can get via other means/apps.
He said you only lose the 911. The traffic info, is that actual traffic on the map (for instance, red color on road for heavy traffic) or somehing different all together?

I’m posting this in the 4th gen forscan thread. Should be pretty clear what I’m asking about.

Yes, I know where you posted this, but it goes beyond just year.

Like Max, Platinum, etc...those little bits of info are important since across the platform there are a lot of differences.

Anyone in the Philly South Jersey area that could help a gun shy '18 owner do some of the MODs?

Can we use forscan to reduce the number of radio sources. I have 3 am sources, 3 fm, and 3 sirius. I don't need 3 of each. It takes too long to switch from one source to another when I have to scroll through other unused sources.

I'm interested in using the Sync 3 mobile hotspot feature away from the vehicle (up to 50' according to the manual). Will it be necessary to make a Forscan modification in order to make the Sync 3/hotspot stay on after exiting the vehicle? I know that the radio can be set to stay on up to 60 minutes, but will it still cut off if the vehicle is exited? Any suggestions for how to make this happen and for the hotspot to stay on more than 60 minutes? Or, alternatively, can the radio be set to work without turning the ignition on?

Bumping this up to keep it active. Still wondering about how to keep that hotspot on after exiting the vehicle. Does anyone have any ideas?

Certainly the electronics that make all of this work shouldn't suck the battery down over several hours. We tow a travel trailer and most RV campground WiFi hotspots are a joke at best and nearly all are insecure. The advertised 50' range that Ford touts would be handy for those times you'd like to use the laptop at the picnic table or in the trailer, but the 20 minute timer is a big shortcoming in my opinion. Hopefully someone will figure out a way to extend the time to something useful.

I agree about the electronics. I've tried running through the 20-minute timer several times and there is plenty of battery capacity remaining. Still hoping that a Forscan expert will be able to offer some help soon.
