I just came here to say, I did what the video does (turn the remote start on in Forscan) and had 2 remote start keys cut and we now have remote start on our 2017 EL XLT. No modules were required.
Wondering if you've had the time to check the plain English, and verify there is a option to enable the remote start? If so that tells me the module must all ready be in the vehicles.Where did you get your keys?

I would much rather do this method than buy a kit for $150.

It would be nice to have a link, to where the latest poster purchased his keys. Hopefully he will post back up soon.

I picked up 2 keys from Amazon for $40 that had the remote start button. The dealer told my wife when they were programming them that the remote start would not work without some extra parts. I told her to ignore them...

Thx for info, I'm just trying to fiqure out total cost, vs. The hard wired kit for $150When we bought our Expedition used it only came with one key, otherwise I would of programmed the keys myself. They charged my $60 to cut and program the 2 keys that I bought on Amazon.
I wasn't sure if it would work or not, but we needed to get at least another key anyways.
If FORSCAN shows the plain English option then your modules should support it.
