Thanks Chuck. Sounds like I followed the steps correctly. I was just unsure as to what "extract" meant, but from what research I've found that just means "un-zipping" the files.

Yep, in Windows just right-clicking on the .ZIP file offers "Extract All..." as the first choice in the second section. The days of running a separate unZip program are long past, it's part of Windows.

Do you know the button combination that will allow me to pull up the IVSU screen? We tried the ones listed and I could not find any other answers online.
Is this even a needed step?

I just noticed there's a "new and improved guide" that either didn't exist when I updated a couple of weeks ago or I didn't notice it. The original instructions either didn't mention the IVSU screen -- or I didn't notice them either.

Noticed yesterday that I can enter navigation data to the screen when the vehicle in moving!

Don’t worry about recording the IVSU file names. That is only to verify your file versions. You won’t need to go back.

Just move past.

I actually think his first set/older instructions are better for most!

The newer set is more thorough.

My Pandora works via BT on both my Expy and Edge on 19274. At least, last I tried a few days ago. I use CarPlay connected via USB 95% of the time.

Make sure Pandora is open on the phone. It can’t connect to it Via BT if the app hasn’t been opened recently on the Phone. If you force close the app or reboot your phone, Pandora will not be active. Just open it, and once it is open and in the background Applink should be able to connect.

All fixed. Just needed to connect via USB once. Everything is working smoothly.

Anyone notice reduced accuracy in voice recognition and POIs with this update?

Ever since I did the update the voice recognition can not find anything. But it still works to make calls and move around the menus just fine.

Hey I just bought my expedition and was a little disappointed to find out that getting it to 3.0 was the limitation from ford. What exactly are the limitations to using the noted code? It seemed like certain things didnt work?

If you are following the current CyanLabs instructions you should be at 20021.

Did anyone do the APIM firmware update too? I think I want to do it but the instructions are unusually thin on the Cyan website. To be clear this is not a complaint, he has done what Ford refused to do, and for free; so I appreciate all of it.

But I cannot quite figure out the step for myself, nonetheless. Is it a lot of work? Worth it?

I thought about it, but haven’t tried. Need to read way more than the Cyan site. Based on the version of my APIM(2017), I might not be able to do it at all.

I have a 2017 & I can’t not get the traffic/Gas/Movies etc to work on my SiriusXM package... called Sirius several times... they put through reboot etc... then tell me I have to take it to Ford dealer to make sure some files are in my map program... anybody have experience with this?

20021 has been a little buggy for me, but good.

The cool thing the 20021 download from CyanLabs comes with is the 2019 Map data.

If you are on 19274, you have to downgrade to 19200, then format, then install 20021 with 19 Map Data.

Same for me. Nothing too crazy though, worst I'm really dealing with is the occasional slow start-up.

I'm wondering if it may just require a little more processing power than these units have. I updated my wife's 2019 Edge and it handles it perfectly fine.

it keeps shutting off after a few mins then you unplug it a restart it works a few mins then all over again
