I wouldn't be surprised that the date of the Order Bank opening might be pushed back even further. I know that we all, myself included, have been frustrated with the slow processing and build timelines, but I'm sure that people at Ford have been more frustrated. After all, they are in the business of building and selling vehicles in order to make a profit. I'm sure that Ford doesn't want to continue to partially build vehicles and put them in parking lots. They don't get any revenue for that until those vehicles are delivered to customers. If I were Ford, I would make sure that the nightmares that occurred for MY2022, won't perpetuate into MY2023. People in these forums think that once the order banks open and order guides appear for MY2023, that everything will be okay. I don't think that will be the case for at least 2 more years.
Agreed, lots of wishful thinking on the 2023s. If anyone reads the quarterly reports or analyst writing this won’t get better until at least the 2H 2023.
As for people being pissed at ford. I can agree with the lack of communication being a gap. The actual product delays or feature removal, that’s caused by lack of parts, not ford desiring to sell less vehicles.
Also. The latest I’ve see basically pointed to expedition was the lowest priority of part allocation. Essentially, commercial, super duty 1 ton, 3/4, and mid size SUV were all priority, essentially where they sell the bulk of volume, the 60-80k of expeditions is a much lower volume sell than an Explorer (200k+) or f series (800k+).

I’m glad to see they pushed back 2023 order bank. Leaves me more hopeful that they want to try and build all the 2022 orders first. Wishful thinking at least…

Endgame. From order I had a 1 week delay on build schedule, and 1 week delay on shipping. No complaints on the process from me. When I ordered my 2017 Superduty it wasn’t delivered until July that year.

Are the Timberlines getting first priority? All I've seen so far are folks getting their Timberlines and that's all I see when I look on Autotrader across the US.

I went into "In Production" last Tuesday and got a window sticker on Wednesday, but I haven't actually gotten an In Production date and nothing has changed since then. I can confirm on my window sticker they have deleted out the Active Park Assist 2.0, Auto Stop-Start, and 2nd row Climate Control and Heated Seats. I read elsewhere that I can still control both of the latter functions from up front but we'll see. They also increased my MSRP by about $1,500. Hopefully my update is helpful to others.

Limited 4x4 302a Sync 4a
2/14 Order Placed and Ford email Confirming
4/28 Scheduled for Production w/o 6/13 Email
5/21 Scheduled for Production w/o 5/30 Email
5/23 Scheduled for Production w/o 6/13 Email
6/7 Moved into Production via tracking system (no email)
6/8 Window Sticker link worked

Controlling rear climate settings from the front is a given but I doubt you can control the rear heated seat functionality from up there. Not a necessity for me in Texas in the short term but that leather can get chilly late November-February overnight.

My build week was 6/6. I showed "In Production" for about a week and Window Sticker was visible. On Friday (6/10), the actual status was updated with an In Production date of 6/10. I have a Limited 302a on order as well. I deleted Auto Start/Stop when I ordered and Active Park Assist has been deleted. I am still showing Rear Heated Seats and see nothing with regards to the 2nd row climate controls.

I was told by one dealer that this was one of the few expeditions that the dealer was able to take normal delivery of. He said they have only gotten 5 2022s since launch. Hearsay but that is what I was told. He also said they have less luxo options standard which helped them with chip delays. Power running boards are the only thing I have noticed. Maybe heated rear seats too.

Just spoke with my dealer, on RAIL hold now. WTF is wrong with Ford? Working on 8 months now to get this, better be worth it. This is why their stock is at $11, horrible company.

Not why the stock is $11.
Rail hold is not enough containers on tracks or trains. That’s not ford. They put in a request for x car capacity by t time, the rails don’t have enough. So delays.
I’m all for blaming ford for crappy planning and terrible communications. But a lot of these issues are affecting multiple companies. We’re just pissed bc it’s a 80k truck we’re waiting on.
I’m in the same boat btw. 11/1 order also rail hold.

I think they pushed most all Timberlines to one run window, and they are just hitting lots. I ordered early and was surprised I wasn’t scheduled sooner, but following along here it seemed like other Tlines were all same week or so.

It could be worse. I ordered a Yukon XL in the second week of September last year. In the middle of February, after receiving absolutely no movement from GM, I canceled the order. They hadn't even accepted the order yet, yet alone, provided a build date. With Ford, you actually have a semi-transparent priority system. At GM, it is pure cronyism on whether you get a build date. They communicate nothing, so they can never be accused of what they're actually doing. Although frustrating, the Ford experience is better.

Funny tidbit, the day I canceled my order, my dealer called corporate explaining their shortcomings. I had a build day assigned the next morning. I wasn't interested. I was done with those bozos.

Wow! Thanks for sharing your experience. I mistakenly thought GM was moving a bit quicker than Ford.

SPP 304A build week of 6/20 slow approaching. Marketing now tells me that's been refined to a specific build date of 6/26.

I haven't read that last few weeks of posts on here yet, but what kind of time frame are we seeing between build date and taking delivery in a major metropolitan area, like DFW?

I today got my built notice and shipped notice emails an hour apart. My last 3 rmails came on Mondays - it was previously thought email days were Thursdays and that was the case at the beginning of this process I believe, and also when I ordered my Mach 1 last year.

Brief update on my order status. I lately have just lain low and I know its taking very long from FORD, but honestly, that's the state of things currently and reality we have to live with probably for a couple of years given shortages at hand. I held unto getting the updated RES when I could have deleted it to expedite my order. I'm glad I kept it as come time to build, I obviously got the car built non stop in a couple of days without chip hold (in production 6/11, built 6/13). Its true Ford could be more transparent and provide reasonable updates. hope they work on improving that process.

That said;
Truck is an Expy Max Limited High (302A) with CCD and rear entertainment system, infinite blue. I deleted start stop at order. They deleted park assist 2.0 I am not aware of other deletions at this time

Timeline:
Nov 3rd placed dealership order with same day email of order confirmation from Ford then radio silence thereafter till...
March 18th with email stating "An important update about your order' which bore no specifics or dates whatsoever
April 28th received schedule for production of week of June 20th and VIN number
May 31st received change of build date (forward) to Week of June 6th
June 14th at 03:37 am received email of built truck with EDD to dealer between July 7th and 13th.
June 14th at 04:38 am received email shipped and on its way with EDD to dealer unchanged 7-13 July (Tracker shows in production 6/11 and built 6/13)

Now to see how long the shipment takes. There's hope and I am keeping expectations very low....

I think you are looking at about a month from build to delivery if all goes well. Just had one of my employees be around that time frame and he's in Atlanta. I'm hoping for the same for my 304A that entered production on 6/9. Still shows in that status.

Figured after keeping up with this thread for the last 6 months that I'd add my experiences. I ordered an Expedition for my wife at my preferred dealer (Dealer #1) who told me Xplan would not be an accepted. Called another dealer (Dealer #2) and they were happy to accept Xplan so I ordered the same vehicle with them. I called Dealer #1 to cancel my order and they said they would accept and "beat" Xplan pricing if I kept my order with them. Decided to keep both orders and would purchase whichever came in first. 4 months later (after reading many threads on this site and reviewing Build & Price) I decided that HD Tow was a must, realized that Sync4A was a $795 option and not a $5k option (as both dealers told me), and found out that the Adv. Cargo Manager was not just roof cross bars. I finally decided to bite the bullet and placed a new order with Dealer #1 to ensure we got a vehicle with the options we wanted.

Dealer#1 Order#1: Max, Silver, 303A, CCD, EDLS, Bench, Auto Start/Stop Removal
12/17: Ordered + Confirmation email
No Scheduled for Production email received
3/4: Production changed to 4/11
4/21: Built Email
No additional emails
OrderTrack.app shows Invoice date of 4/11 and that it's "Awaiting Shipment"

Dealer#2: Max, Silver, 303A, CCD, EDLS, Bench, Auto Start/Stop Removal
12/22: Ordered + Confirmation email
2/3: Scheduled for Production 3/7
2/4: Production changed to 3/14
2/11: Production changed to 3/21
2/17: Production changed to 4/4
2/25: Production changed to 4/11
3/2: Production changed to 4/18
3/11: Production changed to 4/25
4/7: Production changed to 4/18
No additional emails
OrderTrack.app shows invoice date of 4/21 and that it's "In Production"

Dealer#1 Order#2: Max, Silver, 303A, CCD, EDLS, Bench, HD Tow, Sync4A, Adv. Cargo, Auto Start/Stop Removal
4/1: Ordered
4/13: Order Confirmation email
4/28: Scheduled for production 6/13
No additional emails
OrderTrack.app shows Invoice date of 6/09 and that it's "In Production"
Window Sticker shows 2R CLIM CTRL/HT SEAT DELETE -$150.00 and HANDS FREE LIFTGATE REMOVAL -$55.00

I find it a little odd that I received so many email updates on Order #2 and so few on Order #1. Also that both Order #1 and Order #2 have been pending in their respective status' for 54+ days. I did request that both Order #1 and Order #2 be cancelled when I ordered #3, but both dealers said they would not cancel. Hopefully Order #3 gets built before Ford finds a train headed to CA and that they arrive at the dealer on the same carrier. Thanks for continuing to share your experiences. Misery loves company.

I can't say it hasn't been a consistent experience. After delays and order changes, my truck is now stuck in the Montreal rail yard. Shipper is telling my dealer that it will take 10 weeks to clear the backlog. In the hope of getting it before I run out of room for car seats, I've agreed to let them drive the car to me. Hopefully I'll get it in a week.
