I'm in the same boat, but I think it's actually a good sign the truck is further along in production. I can now see the option to activate the truck and even wifi hotspot in FordPass.
Comes down to need though, I'm also frustrated in the 6 month wait time, but if you need something quickly and can get a decent price it never hurts to look. Worst case you still have one on order...

When I called last week, I was told that my estimated delivery date (to my local dealer) was april 12th. That seems highly unlikely now.
After you mentioned, I logged on to FordPass and I can see an "Activate" button and also a Wifi button. I clicked the "activate" button just for giggles, but it errored out.
Also, FWIW, I can see a production date of "03/15" in the status page. Previously It just said "In production"

called them today, very helpful. Told me the truck is in production, likely on final steps as it has an estimated ship date of April 9th, depending on carrier capacity.
She also said there is an issue with their external tracking system where the window stickers are not appearing for some orders, it's something they are trying to resolve, but the window sticker did appear and she could see it when pulled from their internal system. no idea why it was happening, she asked her manager, she didn't know either, but reassured me it was there.
I also called today and had a similar response. She showed April 5th as the estimated date of delivery for mine. Fingers crossed it's accurate.

Have had a 22' Limited on order since 1/8 - sales manager at my dealership said that the current hold up was due to the moon roof. Still no "In-Production" or schedule email

When was your order date may I ask? My dealer ordered mine March 4th I got the limited 4x4 white metallic tri-coat with mahogany and the 302a high package. Just trying to gage a time frame seems to me they are re 3-6 month range. Oh and my priority code was 10 no clue what that means if anyone can’t tell me. But congratulations
I ordered a similar vehicle on 2-24. White tri-coat 4x4 304a, haven’t heard anything since getting order confirmation. Looks like it’s going to be a while unfortunately!

Production scheduling report this week showed they plan to schedule the first four weeks of May so hopefully we all get good news Thursday. We ordered a Black 304a at the beginning of February.

I ordered a standard 304a stone blue with elsd and HD tow on Nov 1st.

Have you got a build date and scheduling? If not any word on the hold up?

I spoke to the GM at my dealer yesterday after the email Friday. He said my date within the internal ford system hasn’t changed, still 4.25. I’m skeptical as my status got bumped from scheduled for production to order confirmed. He didn’t give me any specifics on what the hold up is, just said everything and the plants shutting down over seas after the earthquake certainly isn’t going to help. I asked about the status of the 23s like mentioned earlier in the thread and he said he knows nothing about it. I told him if my build gets pushed into May, I’ll probably hold out for a 23. But I’m also hoping we can get some more definitive info on whether they will build this year or push them off to Feb like they did with this year. The last thing he said is ford has told dealers they aren’t getting any more stock, they are only going to be producing orders. I think it’s all a guessing game right now.

Job #1 date is mid September so your order wouldn't get built and arrive at the dealer prior to November at the earliest. Worst is you were an early 2022 order entry and it still pushed this far out, might not get built before January even.

When did you place your order? I ordered on March 12th from my dealership and still have not received an order confirmation. They assure me the order has been placed.

This is definitely a concern. I placed my order in October for the current one I’m waiting on. I don’t foresee the parts issue getting better so if I were to order a 23 what’s to keep it from taking 8-10 months? I would just really love a crystal ball with definite answers :)

if the moonroof issue is correct, then it's two strikes against me - moon roof and rear entertainment system. However, platinums, limiteds have sunroofs which would suggest all of those would be delayed if that is correct.

I have heard nothing about the moon roofs. The RES was a delay from the get go, which is why I didn't pick that. I ordered a limited which has the moon roof and mine is in production as we speak. I don't have an ETA for delivery yet though.

Ordered 10/20/2021. Into production 03/14/2022. Just called the 1-800 number and they advised my Limited is still in production and has no holds for chips or other parts.

I took delivery of my 2022 expedition max limited yesterday. It arrived at the dealership late last week.
Congrats. Still waiting on our Stealth MAX to go into production. Did you get the CCD? I’m curious of your thoughts on the ride of the sport-tuned suspension. Hoping it’s more planted than the current Expeditions, even if a little firm. My parents have a ‘20 KR and it’s very “floaty”. We have an Explorer Sport right now and while it rides a little stiffer than a normal Explorer, it is so much better to drive due to how planted it feels.
