Hello, currently looking at an Expedition for sale:

On the window sticker it has the 303a equipment group (stealth package), however under "optional equipment" one of the line items shows "STEALTH PERFORMANCE EDITION PK NO CHARGE". I have not seen this before.

My understanding was that you had to go with either 303a (stealth) or 304a (stealth performance), though this particular example seems to have the extra hp/tq but does not have the red calipers, dual exhaust, etc.

Could this have been accomplished through a special order? Attached is a screenshot of the window sticker. It is a MY2023. Very curious. Thanks.

I doubt it's a high HP package with nothing else unless it was some kind of special order. How can you tell it has higher HP/TQ?

Need to see the top of the sticker. It will mention the HO Motor if it does. Also, I doubt it, because it is lacking the ELSD. Having the Performance pack without that is pointless. Heck the ELSD is one of the greatest features on the 4th Gen Expedition.

Aren’t the green window stickers for Special Order vehicles? Or did i just make that up in my head. But if it has the 3.5 HO it will be listed at the top of the sticker.

Red brake calipers is another sign of the HO I think.
I think so too and thought of that after my last post. Thanks for adding that.

Car and Driver Magazine got a 4.9 0-60 on one. That is amazing for something this big and heavy. Maybe they will come up with more power to equal the HO inline six from Ram/Grand Wagoneer that puts out 520HP

Our 2024 Explorer ST has a red sticker with the Ford logo in blue and written under that is Ford Performance, with Performance in red. I would think that that would carry to all the lines.

That’s weird. Also when looking at the 2022 order guide the HO engine is not explicitly called out for the 304a. So does it have the high output or not?

Because it's an ST. That's a special performance model in Ford-speak. So, you get a fancier window sticker and, if you were the original purchaser, an invite to a Ford Performance School. 2022-2024 Expeditions with the Stealth Performance Package are not special performance models in Ford-speak, so no special treatment...just 440 horsepower.

Yes, it's interesting. No mention of the HO engine in the feature listing for 304A.

However, if you flip back to the Engine Horsepower and Torque Ratings chart, the implication is that the Timberline and Stealth Performance Edition have a different engine.

The order guide for 2023 and 2024 have an additional bullet in the 304A listing:

6 in a row, make it go! The Grand Wagoneer is way heavier than the Expedition SPP. The only real difference between the engines of the Grand Wagoneers 510hp vs 440hp for the Expedition SPP. The torque numbers are way closer than you think at 500 vs 510!!!
I am not so sure if that Grand Wagoneer is faster, as it surely is way heavier than the Expedition SPP. The SPP is better on fuel too... food for thought.

It says dual exhaust, which is actually twin tips. Only the HO gets that.

A fully loaded Ram Pickup, which the Wagoneer is based on, ran a 4.2 0-60.

I'm geting a little lost here. Maybe it's my age or something. In a few post the talk is HP. Then, I see something about one get's better gas mileage than the other. Your talking about some thing that has the aerodynamics of a brick or 4X8 hunk of plywood. It really matters not 'cause whatever you do at the next red light a rice burner is going dust your doors.
