What upgrades aside from a cold air intake can squeeze the most HP out of my Expedition? MAFs, headers, performance exhaust, programmer? Anything else? What kind of increased performance can I expect to yield from those upgrades?

biggest upgrades will come from a programmer and gears... all the other stuff will help but not drastically

Just a thought, if you are going to do all that you might look into how much more a 5.4L swap would run if you do the work yourself.

the 4.6 has forged internals and you can put a lot of power into it. so you might want to think about turbos or superchargers. just a thought.

I have a T-60 sitting in my garage I was debating throwing on my 5.4l with some small boost for a power increase.

Mine's got some miles on it, so I don't know about turbo or supercharged without a new engine. I've been considering performance MAFs, programmer, headers, and high-flow exhaust. But that's not gonna get it in the 400 hp+ range, which would be pretty *******. Maybe I should just drive the Expedition and save my money for a hot rod project.

I'm in the same boat. I just have intake and exhaust for now, and planning on a programmer soon. I don't think there is much else to do besides the basics, but still wont gain much. I've got just under 170k on mine, but after I get done with school next year, I am thinking of building another long block up with some head work with cams. I think 400 hp could be obtainable with some really good ported heads with low torque cams. A stroker kit would help with better torque which would be very nice.
