Yeah I was amazed that it was full, and was mad at myself for taking so long to put one on it.

In the winter it is mostly water vapor. Same amount of oil, at least based on watching mine separate, vs summer collection amounts.

Yeah, it had the viscosity of water with a little oil in it. Makes sense.

Well tried to drain the can. About 2300 miles on it and nothing came out.

I pulled it off so I could unscrew it and see inside.

It’s a layer of thick oil. Almost pudding consistency. About 2 oz.

Anyone ever get anything like this?

Installed the JLT on my 19 tonight. Had to mount it slightly differently than the instructions said but otherwise it was a simple install. My wire harness was further to the right than other photos ive seen which is why it didn't want to fit, just had to flip the bracket over. 5070c01929d4cd77abb5704eb5c4fc1b.jpg9a50777edd4e5a582db45287240c5b5a.jpg

Didn't realize there was a filter on top also. Good to know! Guess that makes my mounting solution a little more annoying to deal with

Yeah you’ll need to remove the entire assembly to clean the filter

there are some cans that spin off just the bottom.
theres also some that say you need a can for both valve covers.

Yes, thanks for restating what has already been discussed in this thread, and the others about Catch Cans.

This doesn't seem right, I'd guess I have less than 1000 miles on this and it's full. Very oily consistency, with some froth at bottom. Could it indicate something wrong with the engine or is it purely environment driven? bae76d4e8f1f57f3b474865263651db7.jpg737e796780e82ad7efa134a61b41ef62.jpg

Yeah mine is the same way, have to check it every 1k. If you look at the consistency of it it should mostly be water, with oil in it.
