That tailgate paint ain't no rattlecan...
lol believe it or not it is. With enough wet sanding, and buffing anything can be slick.

I started sanding the clear with 1500 grit and finished up with 3000 grit then compound and polish.

All 9 are very common 3rd gen problems and ones you'll find on most used 3rd gens unless they've already been addressed. I replaced 2 and 9 in 2017. Expect 1 or more blend doors to require replacement soon also. If you're lucky it will be the one behind the stereo that controls driver/passenger airflow. Mine just started clicking a couple weeks ago so I expect it will need replacing soon. 5 and 6 are an ongoing issue that Ford has been blowing off for 18 model years (see TSB).

1. totally rotten rockers
2. No blower motor function in front
3. Rear blower fan broken
4. Parasidic Draw causing battery to die over night
5. hood paint peeling
6. hatch paint peeling
7. Chrome grille finish is toast
8. front emblem toast
9. heater hose leak

bt, you can rightfully be proud of that hard work buffing out that spray paint. In all my years I never saw anyone do that so well.

You are inspiring me .... I have a 145k 2007 Limited, and need to tackle the rust on hood and tailgate.

Already replaced. Blower, and swapped out rear air for Arnott rears.

Also did the t repair on the heater hose, and replace all my ignition coils.
