Wel looks like he actually uses his for off-roading not cruising the soccer fields ed
You can accomplish the exact same overall diameter and aggressive tires with 20” and 22” wheels. Looks way better in my opinion. To each his own.

you cant beat the price though you could get a set like his raptors for 900 buck with brand new tires on them and sometimes the tps. 20 inch rims are ok but if you are trying to take it offroad the raptors are the best option in my opinion..but I lean toward a stockish look as opposed to ROCKSTAR type rims... that's just me

Agree this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Just happens to be mine. :)

You can get a similar look with 20-22" wheels, but you compromise some ability to air down for improved off road traction. The larger sidewalls also offer greater protection of the wheels. Both of these are important to me.

Exactly! It would have cost me more than double what I have into this setup to put new wheels/tires on. These also came with TPS sensors installed.

Like you, I also prefer the OEM look of these wheels. There aren't many aftermarket wheels that appeal to me. Especially when looking for +30 to +44 offset.

can you tell me more about offset I saw a guy who has 20 inch fuels with only 1mm offset.. his wheels look good too and I was going to do that until I saw this post... then I see that about the stock offset and was wondering ….thnkx for the post....

The lower the offset, the more the wheel will stick out towards, or from, the fender. Offset is the measurement of the hub in relation to the centerline of the wheel's width. So at +1 the hub is just 1mm to the right of centerline. This will give the wheel a more concave appearance or a large lip and the wheel will stick out of the fender more. Offset can also be negative, meaning the hub is actually to the left of centerline.

Our stock wheels are +44 so the hub is 44mm to the right of centerline. Meaning less concave appearance and tucked into the fender quite a bit more (than +1). I wanted to stay as close as possible to stock offset to reduce likelihood of the tire contacting the fender.

Yes, forgot to mention that in the OP. As expected, the rear center caps won't clear the axel shafts. I'm not sure which approach I'll take yet. Leaning towards modifying the center caps.

Any plans to accommodate a similarly sized spare tire? I assume the stock spare could be used temporarily on the front when in 2WD to avoid any driveline issues with different sized tires.

As another posted. If you are actually going to be using your truck Offroad 22s are a horrible idea and 20s aren’t a great idea. From a capability standpoint let alone a cost standpoint.

I am a fan of more sidewall myself and not a very wide tire either, just flush or slightly onset of the fender. I want to keep stone slinging contained to the fenderwell.
17s or 18s with 33-34s are about perfect on these rigs. I was close to pulling the trigger on a set of the 1st Gen Raptor wheels. But I did not feel like fooling with the center cap or rear axle shaft.
I just with the OEM XLT 18s and actually liked them far more than I expected. So I’ll just put that money towards other actual useful things, like sliders and a winch.

Now if I could find a set of Raptor Beadlocks for a decent price I’d be grinding the axle shafts in a heartbeat.

I'm casually keeping an eye out for a similarly sized spare. I haven't actually checked to see if a 34" spare will fit in the factory location. Stock spare will do in a pinch for now.
