Really, not even the spark plugs? lol

Thanks for jumping to conclusions, this is the first time I’ve ever put a wrench on ‘em but I’ll definitely be having a conversation with the tire / brake / alignment shop I’ve been using for the past 10 years. The old ones were pretty beat up and all of them were swollen to some degree but 13/16 did the trick and fit the replacement Dormans perfectly.

Oddly.... it seems part of the spark plug problems with early Tritons was that they're ACTUALLY 14mm and people using 9/16" on em wasnt helping things

It actually cuts both ways. There's a shitton of European stuff labelled 13mm or 19mm that's actually 1/2" and 3/4".... hell, 7.62mm is 300 mil / 0.3"

Currently replacing my lug nuts with solid ones. This is what you have to do to at least one just about every time you remove gen stock ones.
This is super helpful!!! I was unsure why I couldn't get the front tire off of my new to me as of yesterday 2007 Expedition EL LIMITED. No matter the socket or even the stock lug removal tool I couldn't remove the lug nuts. I'll update ya'll when I get mine replaced with the link that you provided!!

Ok guys, got a question. I bought these new used lug nuts from @ExpeditionAndy and need to swap them on. Could I just take one off at a time, run the new one on and torque it, and repeat in a star pattern, without even jacking up the vehicle? Do you see any problems with that plan?

Edit: yes I know I could wait until my next tire rotation, but I'd like to do it soon, as the old lugs look kinda crappy.

That what I did. I took them off one at a time with the wheel on the ground and followed the star pattern and used a torque wrench to set the proper torque. It worked fine. :) Post pictures once you have them on.

just so you guys know this is nothing new for Ford

My 1977 Mustang had the same type of lug nuts
In theory capping them with stainless steel would keep them from rusting but in application, using short sockets is what eventually destroys them, because it twists only part of the cap, eventually making it impossible to get a socket on them because of the deflection of the cap.

The lug nuts on mine are swollen and over tightened. I just sheared the factory supplied tire iron!! Once you get the chrome off what’s the size of the nut?
