I’m using a optima AGM charger. I’m just curious if the low charge state is causing issues with my door locks.

Probably. My 7 would do this and they told me if I'm not driving it much or making a couple of long commutes a week then I should put it on the charger once a month. I ended up buying a maintainer and it helped. Didn't know I had a poor mans hybrid.

So who's got a charger they would recommend? I don't mind hooking mine up every so often to charge it up.

I'm assuming the factory batteries are just regular AGM batteries and not the TPPL type. Reason I say is that I had a bunch in my boat and got the charging guide from Northstar batteries and created my own custom charge cycle (as far as the absorption and float parameters). I installed a Pro Mariner ProNautic 1250p charger. I realize this is a different application than a boat, but the AGM setting on the charger wasn't quite the same as Northstar recommended, and the GEL setting was also different than either AGM or TPPL. My only point is that not all batteries that get bulked into the AGM category have the same charging characteristics.

Is anyone using the Version2 (Memorizer) A.S.S. Eliminator from 4Dtech? Sorry if I missed it perusing the prior 19 pages of this thread.

Do you all disconnect one of the battery cables when charging the battery in-vehicle?
I just hooked it up... should I do something different?? It’s a trickle charge type charger if that matters.

These new vehicles are far beyond my auto knowledge now, I’m still on naturally aspirated carburetor level.

A bunch of folks on here have installed the ASS Eliminator. Not sure if it’s that same on tho. A bunch of folks have even posted coupon codes.
