X-Plan requires a pre-approved PIN that Ford would issue you if you qualify (IE: have someone who works for Ford or it's subsidiaries that is willing to offer you theirs, or belong to a large group that Ford sees as a trade partner, in my case, the MCA/SAAC, for which I have been heavily involved and a member of since 1981). You would get a code, then a link to the Ford "internal plans" site, fill out the proper forms, and the computer will issue you an 11 character PIN. You would then take that PIN and associated paperwork they email you to your dealer, who would then confirm your eligibility, walk you through your desired build, and input the order into Fords WBDO ordering system.

On another note, don't get too concerned on the default "19" priority code that I've seen posted about too many times over the years to mention. Any "non stock" order (IE: not dealer inventory), by default, is assigned "19". Yes, options can throw your truck into limbo as they await specific optional components, but is not necessarily due to a priority code.

PS: If you join the MCA just for the X-Plan, you must be a member for 90 days before you are eligible for a PIN.
Hmm, that's a bit worrisome because my dealer did not request my X-Plan PIN (which I have) when I ordered. Instead, they wrote on the contract that X-Plan pricing will be applied when the unit arrives. I hope that doesn't cause a problem.

Ordered our max limited with HD tow, panoramic roof, forged green and sandstone on 12/22. No rear entertainment system. Have not heard anything yet. I don’t understand how people who ordered after us already have a built date

How did he write up your sales order and deposit?
Should have been able to log in and build it under the X-plan configurator like they did mine

For what it's worth, the dealer used my A-plan pin when my order was placed. They also said because my pin was tied to the order I didn't need a separate deposit.

A plan is a different level than the X plan, higher plan, dealer did not need to take a deposit. On mine, with a fairly new dealer, one I have never done business with in their history, a simple 1K deposit on my CC was taken. I had no problem with this, as a retired business owner, I would have asked the same on a special order.

We just got our order update email from Ford late this week.
Our order went in 12/15 for a Max Platinum (HD towing, ELSD, no RES) and our initial build date email advised week of 3/7. Early today an email update arrived moving to week of 3/14. This sounds like a popular build date range. Fingers crossed it won't slide much more!

I don't know if Ford even knows. I have a 2022 F-150 Tremor on order. Blend date was 01/27/21. ETA of 02/24/2022. Now it show in production with a deliver date of 05/25/2022. Ford said the F-150 line would be stopped for February. I was hoping mine snuck in, but doesn't look like it. My neighbor has had a Maverick Hybrid on order since October of last year. His ETA just went to May. Buddy with a Bronco just got bumped to June. I hope the Expy's stay on track for you guys.

I left a $1000 deposit for my 2021 and 2022 A Plan orders. When ordering opened for the 2022, I told them I'd not take the 2021, so they just rolled my deposit over. I seem to remember that I only left a deposit because I was contemplating buying off the lot originally.
