You can also buy straight up from Joel at 2 Rivers Ford. He'll sell at cost I believe.
The only problem I see for @xRichx is I don't think Florida allows you to buy warranty coverage online. I don't know if any of those places (Flood, Lombardy, Zeigler, 2 Rivers, etc) will sell it over the phone, but the Sunshine State may have hung him out to dry.

All of them will actually. And a Floridian can buy a warranty online I think, they're just at a set price as Florida regards warranties as insurance and has different rules about them.

Florida has rules on extended warranty that hurt the consumer. Out of state dealerships cannot sell in Florida and I believe Florida dealerships cannot sell out of state. The result is that Florida residents pay more for extended warranties.

Here's the link for Flood Ford: https://www.floodfordesp.com/

It doesnt really matter who you use (Flood, Lombard, etc.) They are all selling the same plan that's honored at all Ford dealerships, so just go with whoever is cheaper and either buy from them or use them to lever your dealer down.

Interestingly, the quote you'll get from any of those online folks is not trim-specific. So when you get an online quote, it's just for a general expi. That means if you are covering a Platinum (or a tricked out Ltd) with all the electronic doodads which are certainly prone to breaking, those aren't factored in. I think when you go through the whole purchase process with one of them you have to submit your VIN and they'll give you an updated quote. But I didn't buy from them...I took the general base quote to my dealer and they matched it for my Platinum. So I probably got an XLT priced plan for my Platinum.

I just ran through the quote from Flood Ford ESP system and the price was $1695 for 100K/8yrs, $100 deductible including Interior/exterior Lighting coverage. As pointed out in the previous post, it wasn't trim level specific. So my question is this: after paying $1695 with my credit card and Ford verify my VIN, will the final cost change based on the trim level?

Thanks!

Howdy! Are these extended warranties from Lombard the same EXACT warranty as the dealers? My dealer is was at $2900 for a 7/100k and is down to his bottom offer of $2300. Lombard is about $1600. I just don't want to make a mistake by not working with dealer.

yes the ford ESP you can buy online at these dealers is the 100% exact same your local dealer sells.
when we bought the 2012 edge in feb i got a quote from one of them, had it in my hand 1500 for coverage to 100k/6 yrs 100 deduct
edge had 52k on its clock
so when we went to the guy here to buy the edge i asked what they could sell the same warranty for. e came back at 1600.00 plus he would not charge to do the detailed survey required on the 2012 edge due to age, that was 2 hrs of shop time
so i said i could get it at 1400 and thank you
he said hold on...came back and met me at 1400 plus the survey.
we both won.
best part its ford esp honored by pretty much every ford or Lincoln dealer, rental car if overnight, no hassle or anything, plus it has a certified inspection sheet to prove it was in great condition

As @powerboatr said, yes they are the exact same warranty. It’s a ford product sold by ford dealers, some just choose to sell it online. They choose to make their money on volume not the horrendous markup your local ford dealership uses.

That is what I could never confirm one way or the other. Which is why I juts got my local dealership to match the quote rather than buying from the online guys. If your dealer won’t match it, just drive to the next dealership down the road. Any ford dealership can sell the ford warranties for any ford product; if you’re dealer won’t match, just go to another one until you find one that will...it’s all profit for them so they don’t care.
