Well, I give up, after 10 weeks and multiple items stripped from my Platinum I went will an Acura MDX S Advanced. A little less room but in stock and nicer.
Sucks you pulled the plug but the Acura is significantly smaller but probably a lot more fun to drive.

I went to my dealer tonight to see about dropping the items Ford is removing as to get scheduled sooner. Was told by the sales manager that only one person in the dealership can do that and they are out this week. Then he offers up that Ford is closing the order banks this week for the 22MY, so it may not matter as they are hearing that it would take 9 - 12 months to knock out all of the existing 22 MY orders Ford has and that realistically some folks will be pushed into the 23MY given supply constraints. No idea if he was full of it or not.

Did any 21MY orders get pushed to 22MY?
My 21MY order was pushed to 22. I ordered my 2021 on September 14th, and on December 3rd it was changed to a 22.

I ordered a XLT Max w/ Special Edition package and Heavy Duty Tow on 2/3. I called the dealer today and still no VIN. Does this seem off that I do not even have a VIN yet? I am waiting to hear back if it is due to not removing rear climate controls.

I talked to my dealer again this morning, this time through text messaging. He still wasn’t finding the code to remove the massaging seats from the Platinum. He’s also been trying to get ahold of his dealer representative, but the dealer rep hasn’t replied to any of his messages. I will try again tomorrow or Wednesday.

Ordered 1/17. Simple Limited model. No VIN, no production update. Only update was on 3/18 that there was a delay in production.

Well, I see BCE Modules this morning on the AsBuilt site, so something must actually be happening and I see the "Activate Vehcile" button in my FordPass app - I know I can't actually do anything until I take delivery -- we'll see if it ends up on a truck or sitting in the lot waiting for chips and wiper motors.

Placed order 10/25, went into production 3/17 and on hold due to the chip ever since. Was told 3 weeks ago it should be delivered between April 20th - 28th. As of yesterday it is still on hold with NO idea when it will be delivered. I called Ford Customer Service and they confirmed the hold and said that it could easily be another 2-3 weeks. At this point I have no idea when its coming and apparently no one else does either.

We're pretty much an echo chamber in here by now... I did a quick mashup of my order (TOP) compared to a dealer order I found that is nearly the identical build (the dealer order includes HD tow, mine does not).

How do you like it? My wife likes them, we drove an a spec and with tech pkg. Not much a fan, the ride and seats are too firm and it was too loud inside. However they had good stereos. We didn't get to drive any with the adaptive suspension and I kno the type s has air springs. She wants to compare to a cx9, but the dealer In guam isn't getting any grand touring models in.
We love it so far, it ride a whole lot better than our 2019 XLT and is considerably quiter as it has acoustic glass for all three windows up front.

Ford reliability is part of the equation as well. We have had our car in the shop at least 8 times in less than three years. The struts were starting to leak, transmission skipping, and the sunroof was starting to creak and rattle. All of that and new tires were needed, we decided to give Acura a try. Have had zero issues with our other two Japanese cars, a Lexus RX, and a Toyota 4runner.

Should be a good bet. My wife’s 2015 MDX has just over 60k and has had 0 issues.

Interestingly, did you notice the tracker changed today? Instead of the outstanding milestones on the same line, they are now bumped above the line.
